Welcome! 

I am Mr. Nering. I teach Agriculture Sciences & Systems (Plant & Animal Science) & Agriculture Government & Economics. I have been teaching at Perris High School Since 2009. I love the FFA program at Perris High School which is one of the strongest programs in all of California! I coach the Nursery & Landscape FFA Team at PHS, which placed 2nd in the state of California in 2020.

I also love sports! I am the head Varsity Men's Golf Coach, defending league champions, and I am the JV Men's basketball coach, also defending league champions. I am proud to be a Panther!

I attended and graduated from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo where I earned my B.S. in Agricultural Sciences with a concentration in Ornamental Horticulture. I earned a minor in Spanish as well during my undergraduate college career. Hablo Espanol. I earned my M.S. in Agricultural Education & Leadership from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo in 2006. I have coached 2 California State FFA Champion teams, including the 1st in school history in 2011. I also coached our Men's golf team to the first ever league championship in school history in 2019. I received the Teacher of Excellence award from the California Agriculture Teachers Association in 2018, which is the highest honor an Agriculture teacher can receive in the organization. I was recognized as the Men's golf Coach of the year from the Inland Valley League in 2019. 

My favorite thing about teaching & coaching is inspiring people to achieve more that they originally thought was possible! It's a privilege to be your teacher & I look forward to learning together. Go Panthers! Lezz get it!
