Greetings!
My name is William Walters and I have been the Theater teacher for Perris High School since 2013. The classes I currently teach are Theater I, Theater II and Play Productions. I have a Bachelor of Arts in Theater from Point Loma Nazarene University and a Masters in Education from Azusa Pacific University. Before teaching at Perris High School I worked as an actor in film and television, as well as teaching acting at the Actors Workshop Studios in San Diego. My wife is a first grade teacher and I have two children.
I am a firm believer that the skills that students learn in my class will come in to play no matter what they decide to do with their lives. Students will learn communication skills, teamwork and socialization. Students will work on their imagination and creativity while developing a better understanding of human behavior and empathy. At the acting studio I taught at I worked not only with actors but with all types of professionals from doctors, lawyers, CEOs, teachers and athletes. The skills they learned in my class helped them become better at their jobs. In this day and age employers are looking for creative people with great confidence and that is what my class will provide.
I use Canvas with all assignments in my class.
