Hi, my name is Shirley Perez and I am an Education Specialist and SAI English teacher at Perris High School. I teach English 11 and English 12. I am also the National Honor Society Advisor as well as the Freshman ASB Advisor. Being this is my second year at Perris High School, I am very excited to help motivate and encourage students to follow their passion and help them transition from high school to the real world. I incorporate the Mamba Mentality in my teaching. The Mamba Mentality is a mindset for constant self-improvement in the pursuit of your highest potential. It is an infinite quest to be better than you were yesterday. In order to be the best, I show and teach students how to find themselves and their passion so they can strive to be the best at what they love.
Besides teaching, I love spending my time with my family and friends. I am a mother of 3 and a grandmother of 2. I also am very active where I enjoy snowboarding, skating, running, soccer, hiking, and CrossFit. I currently hold a Bachelors degree in Pre-Law Studies, a Masters degree in Education with a Special Education credential, and I am pursing a Doctorate degree in Educational Leadership with a Special Education specialization.
I look forward to working with you and your child.
