I was born in West Covina and spent my first 12 years there. Eventually my family moved to Riverside where I attended La Sierra high school and graduated in 1995. In college I studied art, history, and philosophy, switching my major a couple of times but eventually landing on Philosophy. I and graduated from Cal State San Bernardino in 2002 with a Bachelors in philosophy.
I really aspired to be a philosophy professor so I immediately enrolled in the philosophy masters program at Cal State University Los Angeles where I eventually earned my masters in 2007. In the process I also attained a few teaching credentials, got married and had a couple of children.
I've spent the better part of 20 years in education. I was a substitute teacher for 5 years at Alvord School District and have been teaching full time since 2008. This is my 12th year with Perris Union High School District and my 8th year at CMI. My wife is a wonderful English teacher at Riverside Unified School District's Poy High and she and I work together to create imaginative lessons. I'm also somewhat of a musician but you will have to find out about that later.
